I think we should be very careful in our treatment of the ex-Grand Old Duke of York.

He may or may not be guilty of despicable crimes.

His family business do have form though.

They’ve inter-bred incestuously, married very young, executed and abused partners, taken us to wars in which millions of innocents have died, murdered each other, invented their own religion, and made insidious torture a long-term tourist money-spinner.

And as if being the Honorary Air Commodore at Lossiemouth, and Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm, and Admiral of the Sea Cadet Corps wasn't enough, he was also SECOND IN LINE TO THE THRONE until Bill & Harry came along!
That makes him now only 7 short deaths away from being the largest landowner in the world, presiding over 1/5th of the Earth’s land mass!

And……..
.....assuming that this sort of self-imposed/self-gratifying/over-entitled mafiosi-style autocratic dictatorship is ok with everyone, I think we can also assume he has a few ‘friends in high places’?

I wouldn’t want to be the guy who takes him on if I’m honest.

Maybe he would’ve had his head chopped off a few years back?
Maybe he would’ve been exiled, or spirited away like the ‘royal undesirables’ were in Victorian & Edwardian Britain?

I dunno.

But I think until POTUS Trump releases the Epstein files, or Maxwell of the Mirror Dynasty spills her beans, this storyline might just run on & on.

Like the concept of state-sanctioned royal autocracy, grace & favour, gongs, titles, lords & ladies' lists, and obscene wealth - it might just be here to stay……………
